Morrinsville Medical Centre is a large, purpose-built facility and includes pharmacy, radiology and ultrasound unit, laboratory collection site, and 14 consulting rooms – including one fully equipped for ear microscope and suctioning. There is a casualty area, fully equipped for urgent care, and a room for minor surgery and plastering of fractures.
Morrinsville Medical Centre has approximately 11,000 enrolled patients that are currently served by seven general practitioners and ten nurses. A number of specialists visit the practice, providing easier and more convenient access for patients who are referred by their doctor.
We provide timely, quality healthcare to our patients and strive to maintain continuity with your regular GP. However, if your GP is away we have other GP’s available to see you.
Virtual after hours GP appointments
Ka Ora Telecare is a same-day virtual, after hours GP appointment service to suit you and your whanau. They offer free Nurse Triage and Nurse Consults to our patients. Virtual appointments are available from 5pm to 10pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 10pm weekends and public holidays.

GP Consultation Fees
Standard consults are up to 15 minutes long. If you have multiple items or feel you may need a longer consult, please advise at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply for extended services /materials. Thank you.
Fees and Billing Arrangements
- Payment is expected on the day of your consult or treatment. Additional fees may be charged for services, materials or treatment.
- Payment can be made by cash, eftpos, credit card or internet banking.
- Morrinsville Medical Centre Bank Account 02-0368-0060386-00. Please use your name and file number as the reference.
- Please speak to our Receptionist if you would like to set up an automatic payment to keep your account current or to discuss payment options.
- If your account remains unpaid after 90 days it will be referred to a debt collector, which will result in further costs for you.
- DNA appointments. If you do not attend a booked appointment or cancel within 2 hours a fee will be charged.
